More Slashdot for Palms

Slashdot, the "news for nerds" discussion site, has signed a deal with Digital Paths to get its news and commentary distributed to Palm handheld computers, the companies said Tuesday.

In March 2000, Slashdot announced a deal to have its content distributed to handheld devices through Quios. The new agreement, though, will allow readers to choose to receive much more extensive Slashdot information than the earlier arrangement, Slashdot Executive Editor Jeff "Hemos" Bates said in a statement. "One of the cool features of Digital Paths' service is that you can specify how much content you want to download from each page," he said. Digital Paths, a competitor of Avantgo, also distributes news from MSNBC.
