Short Take: Dell promotional packages target gamers, CD makers

Dell Computer is trying to woo multimedia, music and movie buffs with holiday promotions. For $69, consumers get a holiday game pack, including a Logitech game pad controller and Koss headphones. Amateur moviemakers can add IEEE 1394, also known as FireWire, connectivity to an existing PC for $99. Dell offers free MGI's Video Wave III digital editing software and online training with the IEEE 1394 card. For the music crowd, Dell is bundling HP's 8220 CD-RW drive, Koss headphones and 10 blank CD-R disks for $249.
