A great way to deal with society's problems! What the public doesn't know can't hurt us!

Actually, that's a GOOD thing.

Now if only we here in America would wake up and say "NO" to a kid that wants a cellphone, we'd probably have smarter kids coming out of the classrooms instead of skanky socialites like that hotel chick who only want the phone as a status symbol. ("I got the latest Smores phone - your Chocococoa is SOOOOOOOOOOO yesterday!")

Honestly - a kid with a full-blown cellphone, pre-paid or otherwise - is the stupidest thing to even consider.

A different scenario: the bullying was intended to be filmed (a la "happy slapping"), in which case banning the phones makes sense.

Other question: why does any kid need a phone that's on during class?
