Short Take: @Home solves slow service in Fremont

@Home Network said it has solved a problem that affected access speeds for certain customers of its high-speed data service. About 50 users in Fremont, California, @Home's first market, experienced slow service at speeds of 128 kbps, equivalent to an ISDN connection, for two weeks. @Home typically delivers Internet access at speeds of 1.5 Mbps to 3 Mbps. The sluggish service was due to "a misconfigured router that inadvertently capped download speeds," and is "not a systemic problem," a spokesman said.
