On Tuesday, Opera released a new version of its mobile browser for use on the Palm Treo and Research In Motion's BlackBerry. Opera Mini offers a simplified version of the Opera Web browser, and the mobile version includes Google as the default for search.

- I don't understand why Opera mini is free and so is Opera desktop but if you want to use Opera mobile you have to pay $24.

- I'm not gonna pay for a web browser, especially a mobile one, otherwise its the best. I could use tabbed browsing on my windows mobile phone.

(5 Comments)Opera stopped charging for their desktop version due to a lot of competition. It's pretty sad that only 1% of ppl use it in spite of being the best browser. also, opera mobile charges not only for windows mobile but for all phones listed under http://www.opera.com/buy/?show=mobile
