Mozilla updates e-mail program

Open-source software group the Mozilla Foundation released a new version Monday of its Thunderbird e-mail and newsgroup client. Version 0.6 of Thunderbird includes modified junk-mail filters and password authentication. Windows users will find a new installer, while Max OS X users will see a number of visual enhancements.

Windows, Mac and Linux versions of Thunderbird 0.6 are available for download now.

Umm, close but not the best.
The best email client is MS Outlook, believe it or not, flaws and all. Contact management is far superior to the competitors, and I can customize to do text-only at every turn. Scripting? I can do that, too. Plus, my Calendar beats Mozilla's, and I haven't even gotten to Notes, Journaling, or Tasks.

But there's good potential there.
