Google tracks favorite queries
The company denied that it seeks to enter the business of distributing and selling data gleaned through search, calling it "not part of our mission."
"Google has a bunch of interesting data and also tries to keep an eye on social trends," said Google representative David Krane of Zeitgeist, news of which was first posted to technology discussion site Slashdot.org. "Juxtaposing the two is fun for the company to do."
