Toolkit opened for graphics technology

The Apache Software Foundation has released a toolkit for Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), a World Wide Web Consortium technology, written in XML, for creating graphics that shrink or enlarge to fit any-sized screen or printer. Apache's Batik 1.0, based on Java, helps developers see and work with SVG content. It also converts SVG content to and from other formats. Along with the basic toolkit, Batik comes with sample applications, including an SVG browser.
