Jabber logs on to teleconferencing

Instant messenger Jabber.com says it has teamed with business teleconference provider MeetingOne to integrate Jabber's technology into MeetingOne's teleconferencing services. Jabber's software, which was created through open-source development, will let MeetingOne customers initiate teleconferencing from their desktops by highlighting usernames within their instant messaging service and selecting button to teleconference. The announcement comes shortly after Webb Interactive Services appointed Rob Balgley as Jabber.com's president and chief executive. Jabber.com is a subsidiary of Webb Interactive Services, which offers an advanced XML-based technology platform.
