Motley Fool snags $30 million in funding

The Motley Fool, an investment information and analysis site, says it has raised $30 million in its second round of financing from investors that include AOL Time Warner Ventures, Softbank Finance Group, Maveron and Mayfield Fund. The Alexandria, Va.-based company said it will use the funds to help fuel its ongoing Internet operations in the United States and the United Kingdom. Motley Fool also said it is in the final stages of negotiations with Softbank regarding a venture in Japan.
