Short Take: Microsoft updates IE 5.5

Microsoft updated its Web browser with the release of Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1 and Internet Tools. Microsoft said the updates improve support for Dynamic HTML (DHTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). DHTML is a term used to group various Web technologies and W3C recommendations--including CSS, scripting languages such as JavaScript and HTML. Microsoft?s implementation of DHTML has earned it the ire of standards advocates for its compatibility with other browsers.
