Short Take: FBI moves to expand high-tech crime fight
The FBI is asking for more than $75 million for computer systems to increase its ability to gather and analyze information to combat high-tech crime, the Washington Post reported. One system, "Digital Storm," would make it easier to electronically sift through wiretap traffic, while another would allow agents to share and analyze data through a secure network. In response to privacy concerns, the bureau has also formed a panel to develop privacy rules.
