NBC network chief spends nearly $1.9 million for NBCi stock Robert Wright, chief executive of General Electric's NBC broadcast network, spent almost $1.9 million to acquire a stake in NBC Internet, which he also leads as chairman. Wright acquired 30,000 NBCi shares by buying Xoom.com shares Nov. 17 and Nov. 29, according to a Schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. NBCi includes the Snap.com Internet portal, which CNET, publisher of News.com, helped launch.
