Short Take: Virginia Net content law challenged

The People for the American Way and 16 Web sites are challenging a Virginia law that prohibits commercial sites from posting material deemed "harmful to juveniles." Opponents say the law encompasses material protected under free speech rights. Plaintiffs in the case include PSINet, sex columnist Susie Bright, the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, the Freedom to Read Foundation, and the Sexual Health Network.
