Short Take: ASCAP offers Net monitoring software

Music rights group the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers and Net intellectual property monitor Online Monitoring Services are jointly offering Net software called EZ-Seeker. The technology identifies titles of musical works broadcast online, locates sites using popular audio and video file formats, tracks sites' compliance with license requirements, and issues license forms, the groups said. The technology will be available to performing rights organizations worldwide.
