NetLedger gets new president
NetLedger, which provides small-business software for database giant Oracle, on Monday named former Network Associates executive Zach Nelson as its president and chief operating officer. Nelson, 41, most recently was chief strategy officer at the security software company. He also was president and chief executive of its myCIO.com division, which Network Associates had planned to spin off before the equity markets cooled to such deals.
Nelson left Network Associates in late 2001. Prior to that, he was in charge of worldwide marketing at Oracle. Evan Goldberg, who had been NetLedger's president and chief executive officer, will retain the No. 1 spot at the San Mateo, Calif.-based company as Nelson takes on the task of managing and expanding sales and marketing.
