BroadVision updates business applications
The latest versions of BroadVision's e-commerce software mark the first time that the product line is completely Java-enabled, because they run on and take advantage of the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) features in the company's One-to-One Enterprise 6.0 server, released in March. J2EE is a Java standard for developing business applications. The Business Commerce and MarketMaker applications are designed to help companies create customized business-to-business commerce portals, as well as build private or public online marketplaces. Company executives said the average selling price for the complete e-commerce product is about $500,000.
