Two Buy.com directors resign

Two members of Buy.com's board of directors have resigned, the company said Thursday. Scott Russell had served on Buy.com's board since August 1998, while William Burnham had been a director since September 1999. Both directors are partners with Softbank, which is an investor in Buy.com. The company did not immediately announce replacements for Russell or Burnham.

In February, Chief Executive Gregory Hawkins and Chief Financial Officer Mitch Hill resigned their positions at Buy.com. Later that month, the company laid off 55 percent of its staff. Last November, former Apple Computer CEO John Sculley resigned from Buy.com's board.
