Andale, Andalay settle trademark dispute

Online auction services company Andale has settled its trademark dispute with Andalay, an online shopping guide. As part of the settlement, San Jose, Calif.-based Andalay will change its name and will relinquish its URL to Andale. Andalay sued Andale in May in U.S. District Court, charging that the Mountain View, Calif.-based company had infringed upon its name and trademark and asked the court to bar Andale from using its name. The companies declined to disclose the financial details of the settlement, saying only that it would end the legal action.
