Apple releases Mac OS X update

Apple Computer on Monday released a minor upgrade to its Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger operating system, which debuted in April. The new version, 10.4.3, adds a number of updates and bug fixes as well as a few new features. With 10.4.3, .Mac customers can have encrypted iChat instant-messaging conversations without having to run their own server-based software. Also, an update to Safari now allows the browser to pass the Acid2 Web standard compatibility test.

The update is available via Mac OS X's built-in Software Update utility and from Apple's Web site.

Acid2
Actually, with a bit more reading, it appears Safari is the first major
browser to pass the Acid2 test.

It is
And it's an impressive browser as well. I have the SAFT plugin for it and it makes the browser even better. Far more features and standards complaint than any browser around. I can't stand other browsers. If omniweb kept the same type of interface in 5.x as they had in 4.5 it would be amazing, but alas, Safari still beats it out.
