NetSuite drafts lead sales execs

NetSuite, a software-as-a-service company, said on Wednesday that it has hired two executives to lead its sales efforts. Michael Williams, former head of sales at Exodus Communications, has joined NetSuite as senior vice president of worldwide sales. The San Mateo, Calif., company has also signed up James Ramsey, an Oracle sales veteran, as vice president of small- and midsize-business sales.

NetSuite, launched in 1999, provides hosted business management applications such as accounting and customer service software for a monthly fee. The company, formerly called NetLegder, has close ties with Oracle. One of its products is called Oracle Small Business Suite, and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison has a majority stake in the company.
