New hires at Open Source Development Lab

The Open Source Development Lab, an effort sponsored by IBM, Intel and several other companies to improve Linux on high-end servers, has hired two prominent Linux programmers, the organization said.

Zach Brown, a former Red Hat and Intel employee, has worked on sound-card software for Linux and most recently worked on tuning Linux for servers at Zero-Knowledge Systems. Randy Dunlap, a former Intel employee, led the effort to bring Universal Serial Bus support to Linux and worked on network card and SCSI software.
