Short Take: Porn site Whitehouse.com threatens Netscape, may sue

Whitehouse.com lawyers sent a letter to Netscape Communications alleging that the Communicator 4.5 Smart Browsing feature infringes on the porn site's rights. Whitehouse.com objects to would-be customers being redirected to the White House's official site through the Smart Browsing filtering feature. The letter, posted on Netscape sucks.com, a site owned by Whitehouse.com, calls for other offended domain name holders to join them in a lawsuit.
