- I am a U.S. soldier and i am currently in Iraq right now and my fiance is in Ft. Stewart, GA. Our plan was to get married before I had to leave but we did not have the time due to my leave date being pushed forward. My fiance will be out here in Iraq with me at the end of January but we wanted to see if it was possible to get married online if not by a chapline and the chapel located here on this FOB. So i wanted to kno what VOIP was and how did it work for that couple with her being in Indonesia and him being in California. After finding out how it works, I was going to ask if it was possible for my fiance and I to do the samething with me being in Iraq... and if so, would it be honored or recongnized by the U.S. Army as a legal marriage? Please respond back with some type of answer...
