Oh good point... because in a fictional game, with a fictional space military division, they MUST adhere to specific ranks within an existing military divison. And don't forget, the USMC is still part of the Navy last I checked... (former marine)

Expand the franchise? Here's a suggestion
by ewelch September 18, 2007 10:53 PM PDT
At a wedding dinner I went to in September 2004 in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil, I met a Microsoft executive who worked on the
XBOX. I asked him at that time when I'd see Halo 2 on Mac. He
said, "Not for a very long time."

Microsoft. You want to expand the Halo universe? Give us Halo 2
and 3 on PCs and Macs! Heck, even Linux! If it weren't for the
Mac, there would be no Marathon, and Bungee. Thus without
Mac there would be no Halo! It was us Mac Marathon fans who
kept Bungee alive for you to abscond for the XBOX.

Get with the program Microsoft! Sure, give XBOX 360 a year or
so with it exclusive, but if you really want to expand Halo,
expand to other platforms too! Keyboards blow toy controllers
out of the water! Put it on real computers! Put it on Windows and
OS X!

stupidest comment I've heard on here.
Whoa, gotta agree with that post!

Love Halo; hate console games. Those controllers and my abysmal
piloting make for very vertigo-inducing gameplay. I'll stick to
keyboard and mouse, thanks! Release Halo 3 on PC, at least, so I
can see the game in it's full HD glory! Throwing the Mac community
a bone would just be a kindness that I don't expect from MS
anytime this century, though.
Where are the Halloween costumes?
by M3 Sweatt September 19, 2007 10:02 AM PDT
My boys have urged me to find Master Chief costumes for the holiday. So far, the only response is to get out the glue gun and spray paints.

Halo not "exclusive'!!!!!
by brandonh33 September 19, 2007 2:51 PM PDT
All versions of halo are avalible on Windows! In fact every 360 exclusive is avalible on Windows! They preform the same as they would on a 360 plus you can also connect 360 controllers via usb to your computer for even more of the same experiance. You dont need a 360!

They're both Microsoft.

It happens to be that Xbox and Windows are both made by Microsoft....

What are you talking about?
by froasier September 22, 2007 10:10 PM PDT
Halo 3 will not be out for Windows for a while, and I doubt every other 360 exclusive is/will be. And you can't say "they perform the same" because that depends hugely on your Windows system. Buying and/or upgrading a PC to achieve 360-equivalent gaming performance for a majority of people would be more expensive than buying a 360.
Halo 2 was just released of the PC
by msmoise September 20, 2007 8:17 AM PDT
Halo 2 was just released of the PC, however, it only works with Windows Vista (the slowest selling MS OS in more than a decade, b/c XP still works great for most people), and it's getting lack-luster reviews because it's so dated compared to everything else out there. I agree that it should also be released on the MAC, but it would suffer the same fate... it will take them forever to release it, and few would buy it.
