GPS is an aid. Doesn't replace knowledge.

GPS would remain an invaluable aid and remarkable convenience. Most of the cabbies and professional drivers don't rely on these devices for most of their trips but, use them expecially for odd locations and alternatives. Indeed this goes for my personal experience, although I use my experience first, there invariably is a location I need to get to that is unfamiliar or address only. GPS is an aid not a knowledge replacment. GPS navigation also provides quick coordination without identifying landmarks, reducing miscommunication between people. (eg. address only vs. describing landmarks or intersections, or is it the old one or the new one).
