Kodak manufactures two of the top selling consumer digital cameras, the DC-210 and DC-260, which sell for less than $1,000. The new cameras are aimed at leveraging the company's success in the midrange consumer market.
Kodak's $480 DC-210 was the third-highest selling digital camera in January, according to retail market research firm PC Data, while the $850 DC-260 was the fourth highest-seller.
The new Kodak DC-265 offers 1.6 million pixels per image--among the highest of any consumer digital camera--along with 3X zoom, for $999. The Kodak DC-240 offers 1.3 megapixel resolution for $699, and the DC-200 includes more than 900,000 pixels per image, for $399.
Kodak today also introduced new inkjet media products, including framing software with clip art for $24.95, as well as new CD-R media, the Kodak CD-R Gold Ultima discs.
