Why Google is winning
by t8 April 11, 2007 2:43 PM PDT
They are winning because Search is their focus.

Microsoft is loosing because they are focussing on too many things.

And Yahoo looses because it was scared to innovate and infringe on Microsoft territories. So they planned to be small and eat the crumbs that Microsoft wasn't interested in. I remember when Microsoft killed Netscape and Yahoo's comment was "never compete with Microsoft". The thing is Google competed and look where they are.

Google just works

Whatever Google commits to doing something, they do it well. I tried MSN search, but I found what I wanted with Google much faster. Google maps is my de facto map source. My business takes credit cards by Google Checkout. Google just works, and works well.

Google Rising and Rising
by Md6000 April 12, 2007 2:55 PM PDT
Google search is now the Google service that I use the least! My Google account is now my "Office" suite. For a company to offer so many (something like 29 FREE products and counting) free software programs that really work, I can't see why it won't be long before the Google account is standard for most small businesses who want to save money and get real earnings out of a real "office" alternative. In fact, some major companies too are using these great programs. Nothing at all wrong with MS Office in my book; Microsoft Office will always be an awesome product, but what about the smaller business people? I have more than I need with my Google account; free business ads, free VOIP, free Notebook etc, and their great search engine is always at my fingertips. Expect that 64% to jump into the 70 then 80% bracket before too long.
