- .... but freedom of the press includes essentially has to allow for all <br />sorts of garbage publications, even those which wouoldn't print the <br />truth no matter what.<br /><br />Intelligent people just ignore them. The rest of the population <br />remain vulnerable.

- that it's Europe without the First Amendment. Instead, there you can shut off anything so long as it continues "Democratic Principles," whatever those may be. So people in Europe lack a certain ability to critique, which is the direction the American public is heading.<br /><br />The ultra-liberal press in Italy gets about as much readership as Union newsletters get in the US, meaning only their members receive them, and then only a small minority read them. Those that read them, however, don't really question them.
