A California state senator says she is drafting legislation to block Google's free e-mail service because it would place advertising in personal messages after searching them for key words.

DON'T USE THE SERVICE! Sometimes I wonder how these people get elected, muchless walk upright. Have an ISP the use a spam filter? Guess what they probably electroniclly scan email.

It's amazing that California recently said it wanted to begin growing and selling pot without giving it a second thought, yet a simple email service has become so taboo.
