Meanwhile, Back in the USA...
...the RIAA and MPAA are busy suing single mothers and creating a modern form of debtors prison.

This topic of piracy is a bad joke really. China is a place of true piracy, but the big boys at the RIAA and MPAA don't want to rock that boat much, because they know that's a dangerous beast to rile. So they take their campaign to P2P sites, where they can at least give their constituents (the large media companies) the impression that they are fighting piracy. In fact, they are not, but that isn't the point.

The point is simply for them to look like they are, and to continue collecting big paychecks from their customers (Sony, Warner, Universal, et al). It's an elaborate shell game, and I can't blame the RIAA or MPAA folks who collect their paychecks from those organizations for doing so, as despicable as their methods might be. After all, it's a lot easier to go after a single mother who runs Kazaa than it is to go after organized pirates in China.
