Flim-Flam & Shim-Sham and unbridled greed!
What is something worth? What some other fool will pay for it!

Why is it that those who already have more then they could possibly spend in a 100 lifetimes, feel they must have still more?

Glad to see not everyone falls for it! Good job Craig!

yes, but
Good point, but I think his comment about finding a 'good cause' being too hard is disappointing. Look at what Gates has done with his billions (regardless of what you think about his business methods). There are so many problems in the world and it is sad to discover that people like him - people in a position to make major changes - can't be bothered doing something about them.

Cant be bothered?!
You say Craig Newmark cant be bothered to solve global problems with the paltry few millions Craigslist would sell for?

Maybe Craig thinks that providing jobs and an economic benefit for Americans is a worthy goal?
No other capitalist does.

And what makes you think that Craig would be "in a position" to make major changes anyway?
Just because you have a million dollars to spend doesnt mean anyone will listen to you.
