AOL Adds Parental Control Features

  • Post a comment
America Online today unveiled a parental control feature that allows parents to set up an account for their children in a separate Kids Only section of the service. The feature, which sends kids straight to the Kids Only section when they log in, will block all of AOL except for the Kids Only section, according to company officials.

Kids Only was designed for children between the ages of 6 and 12 and offers online homework help, holiday fun, contests, and software demonstrations.

Message boards and chat rooms in Kids Only are monitored by AOL staff and discuss topics such as new games, movies, and hobbies.
