Jodie Foster Threatened in Chat Rooms

  • Post a comment
Internet death threats and explicit messages posted in a chat room run by the Hollywood Network have been aimed at actress/director Jodie Foster, according to a report in today's Daily Variety, a Hollywood trade newspaper.

According to the story, the FBI has been asked to investigate sexual messages and threats including plans to murder Foster. The FBI became aware of the threats when the Hollywood Network's creator, Carlos de Abreu sent copies of them to the Bureau.

As a result of the threats, the Hollywood Network has installed software aimed at keeping track of users and has since shut down the chat room where the threats occurred.
