Hasbro finds candyland.com offensive

  • Post a comment
Hasbro, maker of the Playskool and Milton Bradley lines of toys, has filed suit in the district court in Seattle against the Internet Entertainment Group (IEG) for placing sexually explicit material including strip shows and fantasy booths on the Internet under Hasbro's trademark name, Candy Land.

Hasbro claims that the use of the domain name candyland.com is an infringement of its Candy Land game trademark, and that the public associates the name with innocent and wholesome fun.

A hearing on a temporary restraining order is set for February 5. In the meantime, IEG has agreed to change the domain name to adultplayground.com.
