If it OK for Microsoft to get away with illegalities, then it must be OK for Joe Blow to do the same.
Joe can feel he can pirate software from a company that behaves as if it is outside the law, as it is obvious to Joe that if the laws don't work on one party they can't justifiably use them to persecute another.
While Microsoft refuses to pay for it's crimes against its competitors, I don't think any decent person should be buying its products. Buy an Apple or a Penguin instead.
