- Too Funny.
- Geeks have been doing this for years, I can think of many ways to quickly set up a system to send TV.
Quick and Dirty: With TV tuner card in the PC. Use any IM that supports video (I use Yahoo), and select the card interface instead of a web cam.
Then use any kind of remote control app to change settings.
Cost: $0

- why is that funny
- Unless you already have an extra PC/Cap card/Wires the cost of setting up a solution like that is going to cost more than the slingbox. Heck the cost of XP alone is close to it (doesn't sound like you are using linux). Also good luck matching the form factor of the slingbox.

Is it funny that you can create DVR, Ipod, etc functionality on a PC also?
