- Back in '95-97 Acer was nearly as crappy of a company as Packard Bell. Both were run out of the American PC market for selling garbage computers. It wouldn't surprise me that Acer would want to buy Packard Bell, because Packard Bell had the worst reputation of all computer companies. They had so many lawsuits against them you couldn't count em all. <br />My opinion, marriage made in hell. I hope those two companies make better products than what they did in the past.
