We sorrow with Mr. Rooney as my husband was a Merchant Marine in WWII. There is a book we would like to send to Mr. Rooney with his permission. It is an 80 page book with many WWII Merchant Marine photos of ships, etc. along with their stories of WWII. It was written by E. S. Land and has just been re-printed in hopes it will get the attention of our U.S. Senators and put to rest all of the untruths that have spread about our WWII U.S. Merchant Marines. His friend would have loved it. I believe Mr. Rooney will enjoy reading it as well. Hope to hear from Mr. Rooney.
