    Sun Microsystems and Citrix Systems have announced a licensing agreement that will allow the use of Citrix's ICA Windows protocol in future Sun software. The companies announced the signing of a nonbinding letter of intent to negotiate a license for the software, which extends the reach of Microsoft Windows applications. Citrix said it is currently working to make an industry standard of the protocol that allows users to access 16-bit and 32-bit Windows applications running on a remote server.
