NTRU announced Tuesday it received a $26.1 million second round, led by Investor Growth Capital. Other investors include Texas Instruments, Sony, Macrovision, Lehman Brothers Venture Capital, Greylock, Granite Ventures and 3i. Burlington, Mass.-based NTRU has raised a total of $38 million. The company develops security software for small, multimedia and wireless devices.

Resinate has raised $4.5 million toward its $7 million second round of funding, which it hopes to close in the next 60 days.
Zero Stage Capital led the round. Burlington, Mass.-based Resinate has raised a total of $9.5 million. Resinate's software is designed to allow product-design organizations to collaborate with their supply chains. - Tue Jul 24 2001 InvisibleHand receives $2.5 million
InvisibleHand Networks received a $2.5 million investment toward its first round of funding.
The Burlington, Mass.-based company plans to close the $8 million round with this investment, which came from Polaris Venture Partners and individual investors. InvisibleHand develops software that enables telecommunications carriers and their customers to buy and sell excess bandwidth in real time. See complete list.

Essential.com, an energy and communication services company, has attracted $75 million in second-round funding, the Burlington, Mass.-based company announced today. Essential, which offers Internet access, phone and long-distance services as well as commodity services such as electricity and heating oil, is one of the many firms trying to tap into the small business market. Amerindo Investment Advisors led the group of investors, Essential said.
- Mon May 14 2001 Workbrain closes $20 million round
Workbrain said Monday it closed a $20 million second round, with ABS Ventures serving as lead investor.
ABS, along with new investor NB Capital Venture Partners, will receive seats on the board. Other investors include Accenture Technology Ventures and previous private investors. Workbrain, based in Burlington, Mass., has raised a total of $25 million with the latest round and received an increase in valuation, a representative said. Workbrain's employee-relationship management software handles such tasks as automatically routing employees' vacation or shift-change requests appropriately. See complete list.

Logistics.com announced Tuesday that it has received $10 million in a third round of funding from previous investor Internet Capital Group. Burlington, Mass.-based Logistics raised a total of $64 million, with the latest round a decline in valuation, said Chief Executive John Lanigan. The company's software is designed to enable shippers and carriers to handle transportation-related tasks online. Logistics' OptiManage software, for example, enables companies to track orders, communicate with shippers and match payments with services. Its OptiYield software enables trucking companies to match the most appropriate trucks with shipments and best places to fuel the vehicles.

HomeRuns.com, an online grocer that serves the Boston and Washington, D.C., areas, changed its pricing policy to offer free service to orders placed over $125, the company said. The company has continued to refine its pricing structure. Two months ago, the Burlington, Mass.-based Web supermarket hiked service fees from $2.50 to $5.95. Webvan, the nation's largest online grocer, also raised and restructured its delivery fees this month. Five-year-old HomeRuns sent e-mails to its customers saying, "Many of you have asked us to reward customers on larger orders. We heard you."
