Tibco Software has appointed three new members to its board of directors, the business application company said Thursday. Joining Tibco's board for one-year terms are William Owens, co-chief executive officer and vice chairman for Teledesic; Philip Green, chief operating officer of Reuters; and Narendra Gupta, vice chairman of Wind River Systems. All replace retiring Tibco board members.
Owens served as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under the Clinton administration and as senior military assistant to former Secretaries of Defense Frank Carlucci and Dick Cheney, bringing to Tibco desirable government connections.
