Cad.Lab an Italian supplier of computer-aided design (CAD) technology, has announced the appointment of Joseph B. Costello to the position of managing director and chairman of the board. Costello most recently served as vice chairman of educational software company Knowledge Universe, which is partly owned by former junk-bond king Michael Milken. A 13-year veteran of Cadence Design Systems before his brief stint at Knowledge, Costello will be responsible for strategy development, globalization, and building sales and marketing infrastructure at Cad.Lab.

Adobe Systems has named Fred Snow executive vice president, worldwide field operations, a newly created position reporting directly to Adobe chairman and president Dr. Charles Geschke. Snow also has been named to Adobe's executive committee, the leadership group responsible for overseeing the performance, strategies and policies of the company.
